Pattern Drafting: Children's Moulage
I've been working on building up my sloper set for children so that I can bring more of my own designs into the shop. Right now I'm using patterns from small independent pattern makers with permission (see the About page for information on patterns). My goal is to move into having only my designs in the store, and this is the all-important first step.
You can watch the part one of the process, drafting a moulage, below or on my YouTube channel (subscribe to get automatic updates when I post new videos). A moulage is like a second skin and is drafted from exact measurements of the child, (my nearly 6-year old consented to be my model for this one). After the moulage is drafted, you add wearing ease to create the sloper, and from there you can create a fitting shell. I'll post updates as I go!
